Event Description: 

Registration is now open for the National Council on Independent Living’s (NCIL) 2023 Annual Conference on Independent Living. With the theme of this upcoming conference being ‘INDIVISIBLE,’ the NCIL invites all to advocate, unite, and fight together against ableism and prejudice of all types. The 2023 Annual Conference on Independent Living will also feature the return of the NCIL’s iconic March and Rally, a march from the Grand Hyatt to Capitol Hill demonstrating support for the independence of people with disabilities and funding for the Independent Living Program.

2023 Convening: Strategies to Advance Greater Elder Safety

Event Description: 

Futures Without Violence is hosting a convening program on emerging strategies for preventing and responding to elder abuse outside the legal system in early June. The program will explore key topics such as restorative justice, economic justice, legal system off-ramps, and community partnerships. Participants will learn to define and apply models of restorative justice, economic justice, and survivor-defined elder justice to their respective programs and work.

CMS Health Equity Conference

Event Description: 

CMS is hosting a hybrid conference on Health Equity. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with peers, build relationships, and share research, best practices, and initiatives that are reducing disparities in CMS programs and increasing equity for underserved communities. 

The conference will take place in Washington, DC on Wednesday, June 7 and Thursday, June 8.

National Disability Rights Conference

Event Description: 

The National Disability Rights Network is hosting their annual conference for disability rights advocates. The conference will feature 40 sessions intended to provide an overview of new and emerging trends in disability rights, offer insights and potential strategies on a wide range of disability rights topics, and to highlight successful efforts by P&As across the network and how they might be replicated by other agencies. The conference will also include virtual networking sessions where attendees can meet and connect.
