ADvancing States Submits Comments on Revisions to the State Program Report (SPR) Required Under the Older Americans Act (OAA)

ADvancing States submitted a final comment letter to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, at the White House Office of Management and Budget. This letter was in response to a Public Comment Request that solicited feedback on proposed changes to the State Program Report (SPR), which is required reporting under the Older Americans Act.  In this letter, ADvancing States reaffirms their support of ACL's goals of reducing data burdens and improving data quality while making a series of recommendations about the new SPR. These include: pushing back the implementation date until Federal fiscal year 2021 (FY21), providing additional administrative dollars in order to implement SPR changes, and providing training, technical assistance, and support to both states and AAAs to facilitate the necessary change management associated with new data collection.
