Director of Public Policy

The Public Policy Director is responsible for critical thinking and analysis of current policies and guidance across federal and state government to promote pathways to improved employment and economic status for individuals with disabilities (youth and working age adults).

This includes written and verbal presentations of barriers and facilitators to sustainable systems change with an emphasis on individual self-determination, cross-system collaboration with the blending and/or braiding of public funded streams, access and effective and meaningful participation of individuals with disabilities in generic as well as disability-specific service delivery systems, and building financial capability and economic security. The Director must create deliverables in multiple formats including white papers, fact sheets, frequently asked questions, checklists, draft legislation and policy guidance.
