Dementia Care Services Program Manager

The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS)/ Aging and Long Term Support Administration (State Unit on Aging) is seeking to fill a new Dementia Care Services Program Manager position to aid implementation of WA’s State Alzheimer’s Plan through support of the Dementia Action Collaborative.  This position will:

  • Provide ongoing staff support for the Dementia Action Collaborative (DAC) Long-Term Supports and Services subcommittee, includes coordinating communications and work plans amongst DAC leadership, subcommittee chairs and members 
  • Dialogue with evidence-based dementia intervention developers and providers to identify and break down barriers to implementation, fidelity and utilization
  • Provide technical assistance to Area Agencies on Aging, subcontracted community providers, and ALTSA program managers to support implementation of dementia-capable strategies and services, including provision of training, support of data collection, evaluation and reporting
  • Strengthen relationships between the Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities community, aging network and dementia specialty organizations to increase knowledge and collaboration around dementia care supports and practices.
