Rehabilitation Engineering Research Centers (RERC) Program for Technologies to Promote Exercise and Health Among People with Disabilities Grant Opportunity

The ACL’s National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) has premiered a new grant within the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Centers (RERC) Program for Technologies to Promote Exercise and Health Among People with Disabilities. The RERC aims to increase the effectiveness of Rehabilitation Act services by researching, developing, and testing technology that can solve rehabilitation problems and remove environmental barriers. The NIDILRR studies and promotes effective ways to improve communities’ capacity to include individuals with disabilities in their activities by providing both opportunities and accommodations. The Rehabilitation Engineering Research Centers (RERC) Program for Technologies to Promote Exercise and Health Among People with Disabilities investigates recreational and clinical exercise access by people with disabilities to improve accessibility. The grant deadline is on July 31, 2017.
